Walaskanda ( Bear Mountain ) : Sri Lanka

Washing away, photographer’s assistant T.M Senawirathna ( a.k.a Kadira) cleans a rare ball stone on the cliff of Walaskanda, Ibbagamuwa.

According to folk tales and legends from the locals around here ; King Walagamba suppose to have rested on a stone bed, that lies on top of this rock. According to Kadira, this area is popular among treasure hunters and vandals having removed many Nithahanes ( treasure ) in the past.

The Yapahuwa fortress could be seen in the horizon giving this location a historical ambiance that is worth the visit.
